Other than what might be typified as a bimbo voice, which would wear on me pretty quickly, a woman's voice doesn't really matter.
Some are more appealing to me than others, and hopefully the voice matches the body, but they usually do, so that's all good.

As far as a man's voice goes, I just don't care, I guess.
Maybe if I had to work day after day with a guy whose voice grated on me, it might be a problem for me, but I'm retired.
No worries, there.

My wife's voice?
I've been married 30+ years.
Hers is not the most feminine voice I've ever heard, that's for sure.
It does match her body.

Hard to describe a voice I like. On men I like them a little deep, and other than that it's just a matter of whether or not my ears like the voice specifically. The tone and how people talk also has a lot to say.

And yes, it does matter.
And I feel bad, because I hate my own voice so much.

My childhood friend and my parents have made me very selc-conscious about it, because especially as a kid, I had a shrill voice.
I was told that once when my parents were in bed sick, they sent me over to play at my friend's house, because their heads would hurt...

And now I just.. don't like it... Whenever there's a recording I close my ears and cringe so hard.

For men, I like more of a tenor voice which goes a bit lower into chest voice when being romantic and a mellow, quiet timbre, overall. Yummy. My voice is on the higher end if the low register and I generally don’t express any vocal fry. Nor am I particularly breathy, although I do tend to get a bit breathy and squealy when I am happy or excited. No nasal in it for either me or my guy, please!

My voice is on the deeper side. So sometimes when people see me they assume I'm young... and then they hear my voice and they're like, "Nevermind.." 😂

It's tough to tell with a man, there is always the deep voice but I feel more comfortable with a guy that has more of a naturally higher pitched voice, feels more casual somehow

For a woman, softer gentle is nice

But it is adorable when they change their voice, lower or softer to be purposely sexy

Honestly it's all about the tone of voice. I've heard the type of voice I like in English, French, Italian, and even German, which people say is harsh.

I prefer soft, sweet, and feminine. Girls that don't sound aggressive or dominant.

But Jaugar… The pronunciation difference is because when you're talking about the car, the word you're saying is not the noun form, it's the proper noun form. it's their name "JAG -YOU - ARE”. If a British woman introduced herself to you, and she said "hello my name is Joan, but it's pronounced like Joanne, I don't know why but that's just how my mom wanted it to sound, and it is my name” I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be rude and pronounced her name Joan, you'd pronounce Joanne, and while you may think if her mother wanted her to renamed "Joanne" then why did she spell it “JOAN”, but regardless, you'd pronounce it correctly. I don’t know why the are pronounced differently, and I've never cared or commented if somebody pronounced the cat the American way, but it does bother me when I hear people referring to the car in the American pronunciation because again, it's not a noun. So it's just being deliberately pronounced incorrectly..
