Flowers but no second date?

A guy who I went on a first date with surprised me with flowers at the end of the date. I texted him that I got home safe and told him I had a great time. He texted me back saying that he’s happy I liked the flowers and that he had a good time too. But it’s been a couple days and we haven’t texted at all, should I be worried?

I’m just getting back into dating and am not good with navigating casual things haha, kindness is appreciated.

I'd guess he's waiting to hear from you, especially since he sent the last message- a lot of people these days seem to have a hangup about "texting twice", and he may in general not want to come on too strong. Something light and breezy, like "Hey, would you like to do [activity X] some time?" sends interest.

You're also free to suggest something more specific, of course.
