We don't get given free stuff just because we're men. We don't have anyone who is willing to work to support us so we can stay at home. Unless we're a celebrity, we don't have countless people bending over backwards for our attention and/or affection. Although we also don't have to do make-up, wear heels, or shave as much. So that's pretty cool. Though I'll be honest, I'm kind of jealous it's socially acceptable for you to wear skirts. That looks really comfortable.

As for the others, well... My best friend is tall and has hair. He's 33 and never had a girlfriend. And he's not gay! I'll admit I don't have a great example of a short, funny guy who doesn't get laid, but I know they're out there. Just like you don't think you fit my generalized idea of the female experience, there are a lot of guys who don't fit your generalized idea of the male experience.

Truthfully, I think life just kind of sucks for all of us. Just in different ways. I mean, yeah, men get treated more seriously, but that's not always a good thing. I mean, you know the whole "Would you rather find a bear in the woods or a man" thing.

And yeah, statistically men get paid more, but men are also almost always the ones who have to pay child support. Lose half their stuff in a divorce. Are automatically assumed to be the bad guy in any dispute. Almost always lose custody of the kids.

Men have statistically higher rates of suicide (as much as 4 times as often!), can be drafted into the military, and have shorter life expectancies. Again, not saying men have it worse. Just saying that no one has it good.

As a straight man, I may not be the best judge, but I don't think my friend is ugly. And while somewhat shy for a big guy, he's always been a good person, so I don't know if personality is the issue. I think he just needs to take more risks, personally. But point is, women aren't just falling into his lap because he's tall and has hair. It still takes effort. Just like you getting a guy is going to take effort. Though arguably less because men are desperate, as you pointed out. :)

The "would you rather find a bear or a man in the woods" question got popular a little while back. Because the answer was almost always bear. People, like you, assume that a man is dangerous simply because they are a man. Men are taken seriously to the point of being feared simply for being a man. Which is fair, because you're absolutely right that most violent criminals are men. Still, sucks to have that assumption on you when you're literally just chillin.

I wouldn't say that men are always the cause of the end of a marriage or relationship. Women leave a lot, too. They just take the kids with them and are almost always supported by the court. Fathers lose their kids when the mom leaves all the time, even if the dad is a good father and wants to keep his kids. That's just how things work.

You may be right about the cause of suicide. I don't rightly know. But that's only relevant in a "who is worse" discussion. Not so much a "who has it worse" discussion. Men are worse than women. You'll get no argument from me there! But the fact that men give up on life to the point of suicide 4 times as often as women seems pretty clear to me.

And yes, you're right, the examples I gave are rare once in a lifetime things (maybe 2 or 3), but they're also life-long issues after they occur. They *become* a man's daily life. Child support payments can have a guy living in practical poverty, prevent him from getting into another relationship, and put a ton of pressure on him. He may not be able to recover, depending on his situation.

Losing your whole family and being left alone? Having everything you lived for forcibly stripped away? Not great. Has effects on your daily life. Men sort of walk on eggshells. One little mistake can cost a man literally everything he has or ever will have. Ew, starting to sound like an incel! I'm maybe not great at explaining my points of view. I rather be a man.. I look like my dad so I feel it would have been easier to get women, and hopefully being a guy I wouldn't have been so insecure in myself. My dad could of helped me get a job in his field, so I would be set for life.
