How young is too young when dating if you’re a 28 year old woman?

I’m 28 and a 22 year old likes me. Other than his age, he’s someone I would date and am attracted to but the age gap seems too much.

Well obviously dating a minor is wrong but everyone is different what’s right for you maybe isn’t for someone else. A relationship is between you and that other person so long as the relationship isn’t illegal or taboo such as being with your cousin it’s fine.

Dating is seeing who you’re compatible with so if his age is the only thing keeping you from dating him. Date… see where it goes. If it doesn’t work out then it just doesn’t you’ll have closure. But if it does… You’re not putting yourself out of a amazing relationship or him for that matter because of something silly.

So. Date… see where it goes. Just meet for coffee and chat for a bit.

Yeah I think it's a funny one where the answer isn't the same for men / women.

For you, it's probably too young. Depends on what your thinking body clock wise and kids.

At his age, you wanna give at least 5-6 years before considering kids, need to date a few years, marriage, house, kids. You will be 36+, can you handle the pressure of holding and giving him room to breath.

If no, then your waisting your time or manipulating him into somthing he's not ready for.

If it was the other way around, there's no issue at all, because at 28, man got plenty of time to let things grow and meander with what the 22 yo wants to do, if they make it 5+ years, great he's mid 30s ready to settle and she is 28 and thinking about kids etc.

to me for a 28yo guy or girl, as long as the younger person is 21 & up, it's all good. at 22 you've been an adult for 4 years so he's not a baby, you're both in your 20s and the age gap is only 6 years. if you like him go for it. it doesn't matter what anyone else says, if the genders were reversed you wouldn't be even asking this question

I suggest you stay away from anyone younger than 18. Anyone else is fine, younger or older than you, so long as they agree to dating you.

Should be fine. He's not a minor. Many young guys I know like older women. They handle them pretty well and give a lot of space not present with younger women. When they get firm and commanding, it is with gentleness and there are no bitter fights

For me I divide the your by 2 and add 8 years. So that means the youngest you can go is 22. Personally I'd prefer to date older, but I don't think the age gap is to big for you.

to put it this way, you're almost 30. he just got permission to drink alcohol legally last year... i think 22 is way too immature. how do you start a life with someone that young when you're in a different place mentally?
