Why is my little brother dating people who look like me?

So i noticed my brother whos around 18+ is dating people who look similar to me, his 1st girlfriend was a white girl, freckles, on the bigger end just like me. Only i thought she looked better and skinnier but even i noticed our resemblance, i never thought he would even date someone like her but yeah.. I don't know what happened but that was months ago. Today i saw him with a new girl who has my same body shape and everything! I was super weirded out by that. Bc my brother had always been kinda mean towards me and favors my mom and everyone else over me. I'm the scape goat of the fam. But yeah i find it kinda uncomfortable that he's dating people who look like me but it could also be that he's undersocialized so he chooses people who he feels a familiarity to. Im low key disgusted but what can you do. It's also annoying how he doesn't respect me but ofc, is dating people who look like me.

There is good reason for a same same but different mating strategy. It preserves local adaptions that fit us to the local environment.

It is strong enough that we have a preference for feminized or masculinized versions of our own faces. I do thing women with rectangular faces look good. That may be because I have a rectanglular face.

It could be that aspect coming out in who your bro is dating. I think we all hope he hasn't been wanting to shag his sister and is finding substitutes. So I am going with same same but different.

I see. Why would you be attracted to people who look like you? For me the closest ill get is if someone has a similar personality to me. Not looks tho, anything in*est related is extremely gross in my opinion.
