I used to be the type they would talk to about their problems, but not the type they desired. I'm not bad looking, about 5 or 6 in the face and 8 in the body according to those 'rate me' subs on Reddit anyway, but I'm not financially well off and not attractive enough to be desired. I also don't think I'm "fun" in any obvious way, other than perhaps to open-minded and intellectual types. I gave up on dating years ago.

Yes, but in the context that I get along with them better in most cases as friends than I do with guys, and I get hit on frequently if I don't bail on the friendship, but I haven't found what I'm looking for yet because I'm very picky when it comes to her needing to have the same interests, hobbies, and views.

Sort of. I have no trouble approaching and talking, but because I cold approach I get rejected probably 85% of the time. Apparently that is a decent success rate for cold approach.
