Girls, from your perspective, when it comes to men who have a hard time attracting girls, what are some common reasons as to why they lack the appeal?

can be any of these reasons:

- they are objectively unattractive physically

- bad hygiene and bad grooming

- being way too shy to approach women and waiting for women to make the first step

- bad personality that repels a lot of women

- having standards in women that are way too high for what they look like themselves (like a 5/10 only running after 8-10s)

- trying to mainly get hook ups or stuff like that. especially if they're blunt about it when approaching girls

They don't know how to talk to girls, and then they do nothing about it.

The best thing you can do is ask your friends who are girls what you could do to improve yourself, whether it's your looks, your clothes, your hygiene (often the biggest reason a girl won't go near a guy, but the reason guys seem to never know or care about), or how you come off in terms of the way you communicate, too arrogant, too timid, too aloof, too creepy.

Your friends can help you with all of these, and they will enjoy doing it and make a project out of it, but then you actually have to do what they suggest.

A side benefit of this is you will start to make a lot of friends as well as having girls to date.

They consider themselves a nice guy, but don't realise that just being a nice guy isn't going to make him long-term relationship material. I'm a nice gal too, to my friends.

Either or both they look dirty/unkept and/or they have something at least mildly off putting about their personality

Number one that I have noticed is just an all around dull or dry personality. That makes it hard to really create a spark.
