Truthfully, I was completely against it for the longest time, but I think the line between human and robots will eventually become indistinguishable. There is already a war of the sexes going on, which has made this generation the highest ratio of single of men and women. I'd hate to say it, but the downfall started with feminism getting out of hand. Standards are way too high. There are tons of people (especially men) already chatting with AI bots for companionship. They can be trained however you'd like and have a better personality than anyone you actually meet.

Would I do it? Not yet, but maybe if the technology gets there... and it will.

It depends on what you desire. If you have a desire to procreate, then it wouldn't be feasible to have the virtual person be your partner long term.

But it is crazy how far technology has come in a short time that science fiction concepts are more serious of a topic.

That said AI, while making incredible advancement is still just a processing unit without any agency.

Imperfections are also some of the most attractive things when they click right.

Give it 10 years though and with the current explosobe advancement, AI will be refined enough to be able to go on dates and fake humanity.

Its why its called "artificial intelligence", and not just "intelligence", because its just a ruse.

I'm not dating a program, I might make one to have as a sexy robot maid, but I'd see it as an automated multifunction toy/tool, not a person, and I'd still be getting myself a human wife.

Everyone here says no way, I would never do that. But a lot of people these days have online relationships when no one said that would ever be a thing. Even when you're in a relationship with a real person you'll often go online and talk to someone, and many times that turns to clearly more than friends.

A lot of people on here even have online relationships. So to say these AI relationships are out of the question, including a romantic or sexual component, is unrealistic.
