How long should I wait?

My date is meant to reach the park for a picnic date in an hour, but he’s driving in traffic. I have a feeling that he isn’t going to turn up, since he’s been ignoring my messages about where to meet and get free parking.

How long should I wait to meet him, before I assume that he’s stood me up and I leave?

He was late, got caught in traffic, but eventually turned up and I think it went well.

Well if someone’s driving it may be fair to ignore someone’s messages. Did he eventually show up? Sometimes things happen out of someone’s control traffic being one of them but some people are also cowards who stand people up.

Glad he made it. Sometimes there are things people can’t control. If traffics terrible. They get into a wreck. Things like that they can’t help so don’t hold it over their head the same can happen to you

If you have his number, which I assume you do, just call him and ask what his ETA is. Saves you from guessing and lets him know you are still interested in meeting. That should hurry him up.

People watch and enjoy the park. Let your mind relax and be surprised when he walks up to you. Try not to write people off and give them a little slack early on. You'll be stronger for it.
