My girlfriend is going through a really hard time right now financially. And though I been helping her with literally everything she needs. Anything from groceries to shoes. I still feel bad. I almost broke up with her one time. And I been trying to make up for it since. I know money doesn’t buy forgiveness. But she’s been forgiving me little by little. And it really changed my perspective of how I do things. Because now I think of what if I didn’t try enough? You know? Then how can I not try my best when I could’ve lost someone I loved. She told me how she went to the mall and saw a dress she wanted to buy in the future. But I’m thinking of surprising her with it by sending it to her address. But it’s expensive. And I literally have been giving her half my money. But a part of me wants to cut my arm and do it.

No. You’re building a relationship purely on finances. What I’m getting is she’s a you simply because you’re giving her money. What happens when you don’t have money? Will she stay w you? Will she leave for another man who has more. What was the reason for almost breaking up w her? You’re doing enough as it is taking care of all her bills. She doesn’t need a dress if she can’t manage her own finances. There needs to be some accountability. Most women are held accountable for their actions, just as you’re doing w her. You had a reason for wanting to breakup w her now you’re the one who’s trying to apologize for it. Grow a pair man.

Hmmm , I don't mind the idea normally , but you have really been over generous already which is a problem..

Maybe in time , I'd wait , everything is 100% and gifts will not help , she needs to fix her circumstance.

Don't, don't be this foolish, and I'm telling you why : A WOMAN that cares about you will not EXPECT you to take care of her, she has to find out a way from her financial situation. It is amazing and cute that you helped her, but it's also not fair that you have to give her SO MUCH ,... when is the last time you treated yourself to something nice?
Be there for her spiritually and emotionally, not financially... see how you can help her to get out of her situation but don't help her with money it will get worse.

Don't buy her things, show your love by DOING nice things like taking her to her favorite place, cooking her favorite meal, etc.
