I get so bored from messaging 😭 and on another hand, if I talk too much they can ghost you suddenly and find someone else. like how women can do it for years with several people and marry one? Not just for women, it is just as difficult for men too. Many years ago it was way easier because people had not become addicted to social media and did not have short attention span. Even until about 10 years ago, online connections were pretty well maintained. But now there are sooooo many distractions with so many apps and posts, that people's brain has eroded and cannot keep up with just one steady connection. The distractions have become an addiction.

Online partner or online friends? Friends is basically just a glorified contact list, where you have to say something interesting, important or funny every once in a while. Partner is much more challenging. You really have to know that person on a deeper level and use that knowledge to stay engaging. Not to mention to set up a few nice personal dates.
