I would just say it. Straight up without sugar coating it. I’m not into the whole tattoo culture.

If she wants to make choices freely, she needs to realize other people have the right to do that as well. Choices always come with an expected benefit and an opportunity cost.

I’d do the same with a Mohawk hairdo or blue hair, lip injections, a fake butt, body modifications, or an annoying personality.

Vague general deflections to avoid hurt feelings. I generally won't do that. It seems disrespectful to avoid the elephant in the room. People need to hear that stuff. Being part of one culture could get you excluded from another group.

My last ex had a nose ring I did not find appealing, and I did push/encourage her to go natural, but she didn't listen, which is fine. She can do her. It wasn't the reason we broke up, but it did make me less physically attracted to her.
