Being single and in peace is by far better then being in a miserable relationship. I’ve seen so many “perfect” relationships end in disaster. Because sometimes the happiest looking ones are projecting to the world only what they want you to see.

It takes time to find the right kind of person.

I know what you mean. Many people settle for something mediocre, just to say they have someone rather than stepping into the discomfort of being on their own and finding someone who matches their vibe.

@Pearl222 honestly mediocre is the better case scenario. Some people don’t even settle for the bare minimum.

It happens too to people who do genuinely love someone. Who have empathy and feel sorry for them…. But in the process the person is using them as a enabler until they become so miserable and resentful because they realize the person is the way they are because they CHOOSE to be

I never “disliked” being single when I was , I was perfectly content being un-attached. Should I ever find myself single again aside from grieving for the woman I have somehow lost I know I’d be ok !


I think this is the state all of us should be in prior to any relationship … sadly though it’s likely really far from reality.

It's peaceful at times but it's miserable outside. I dissociate and have numbed myself to the whatever other couples do. All I can say is, Lord knows what would have happened if my cat wasn't here.
