How often should you text in the talking stage?

We’ve been talking for 2 weeks now. I feel like he doesn’t like me that much anymore. Unless that’s just how he texts. He did ask to meet like two days ago, but our schedule is so crazy. It’s kinda hard to meet for now. I told him that, but he kind of never answered that message and changed the subject. He makes me so confused. We haven’t talked at all today. The other day, I did message first, and he never responded. So I chose to just wait and give it time. At this point, I’ll just move on🤷‍♀️.

Don't read anything in to it. The only way your going to know anything is if he proves it to you.. hus action are doing that now..

That's when you will find the love of your life. Not some guy that your trying to force something because he's the only guy that has talk to you in such a long time.

If I'm truly interested in a girl, I would always try to respond if she reached out. I prefer talking over the phone, but I could adapt to her style of communication. I wouldn't want her to feel ignored.

Honestly at this point you guys should be shifting gears into hanging out or phone conversations. I get that your schedules are both crazy but texting gets burnt out especially if he isn’t much of a texter in the first place. You’ve gone through all those initial, interesting topics and now there’s not much else to chat about except how your day was, what’re you doing, etc etc.


At some point he’s going to get tired of fishing for new topics and it would be best to hang out so you can actually create memories and other things to talk about. If you aren’t able to hang out because you’re both busy then maybe this isn’t the best connection to explore right now realistically.

I understand what you’re saying. I could tell by the way he started texting that he was running out of ideas. I started to carry the conversation. Would you ask to talk on the phone or prefer the guy to ask? My last relationship made me hesitate to ask him that question? Should I also ask him if everything is okay and if we are still cool to hang out sometime soon?

My biggest advice is to ditch all that “who does what first” narrative, because trying to play those games will mess everything up. If you want to call, totally ask to call, don’t be afraid to make your interest or your intentions known. Speaking of intentions, I also think it’s a good idea to go ahead and ask what his are if you haven’t already. What you don’t want is to waste time on a guy who just wants something casual, or isn’t ready to commit at all.

That’s the first thing we talked about before I even gave him my number. He stated that he wanted a relationship and nothing just casual. He also stated that he would even wait until I’m ready to be intimate. I don't know if it was a lie but that’s what he stated 🤷‍♀️.

Well, it sounds like you both had good intentions going in, but at the end of the day, actions are going to speak louder than words. It won’t matter if he wants a relationship when he doesn’t have the time to build and sustain one, you know? You can definitely ask about getting on the phone or even setting up another date, but if it continues being impossible to move things along then you may wanna rethink this connection.
