7 moProbably not. I never go near a commercial gym. I have my own home gym, no waiting for equipment, no drive time back and forth, work out any time I want at my own pace.
And frankly, I'm not typically gonna bond with the average gym rat. I can do without the drama of the cleavage queens, the yoga pants princesses flashing camel toe, and being accused of looking at the parade of damaged Karen's. I'm fine with my seclusion from all of that.

I workout at home too.

7 moBy gym pal, I'm assuming a girl who is a friend I made at the gym? If so, I don't see why I wouldn't, as long as we click. We already show that we share our care for our health. Staying fit is an extremely attractive trait in partner. But it's definitely not the only aspect. I'd need to be compatible in terms of views, interests, sense of humor, our goals would need to align, and sexual desires should be the same.

7 moYes but no... I don't really go to the gym to meet people. My purpose is to work out and I do it best when I'm not thinking about how i like the girl in front of me... at the gym my mind is more like "you want to hook up" when I do think of the girl in front of me, not do you want to "date". I've hooked up but never found someone I wanted to date there. The things I look for in a women, a women showing off at the gym enough to get my attention doesn't have. If she did she wouldn't he showing off at the gym enough to get my attention... for me its just not my mindset at the gym
20 ReplyYeah, I don't see why not. But I think it's pretty tough for a straight guy to find a female gym pal haha.
I don't know about other guys but when I'm at the gym and I even remotely look at the general direction of a girl I get the "What are you looking at creep?" look from the girl hahaha 🤣🤣🤣.
But then again; I don't know, never tried talking to a girl or picking up a girl at the gym. Just go there headphones on, get the workout done and I'm outta there lol.

@briamg22 people can be so judgy - and sometimes, ladies don't hit me at once here, sometimes I think some ladies, like all 1 in X many, have a bad attitude - so it's not you man. Some folks are just unfriendly apples. 🍏 Men, women, you name it - some folks just aren't you know, common courtesy even. So take heart man - it's not you

7 moI’d first have to go to a gym but no I don’t think so , couldn’t even envisage talking to anyone in the gym. I’d be focussed on doing what I’d be there to do whilst trying hard not to let my eyes rest on any figure hugging clothing garment for fear of being called out or branded some sort of monster… I mean how dare my eyes see things 😂🤣😇
10 Reply Only if she wears scrunchy leggings, has a camel toe and wears a sports top that shows of her nipples.
Just joking (kind of lol) - that's what goes through my mind when all the attention seeking girls are at the gym.
Like in the rest of life, it would be more about my connection with her than whether I met her at the gym.

@stratford and if there's always another gym to go to, in case it's an unwelcomed approach and then man has to find another gym ; 😋

I mean I don't go to gym and I don't flirt outside of gym even.
- 7 mo
It would be a cringey way to be told not to come back to a gym lol "I tried to hit on a woman once, and I wasn't allowed /or told not to, come back to said gym" + makes for an awkward story + again I'm single😃 I don't flirt. So I have no such stories

Ends. 😊
Very unlikely I would date a gym pal, because I never workout at the gym.
But if I did why wouldn't I want to date all those lovely fit muscular females?
Perhaps I should join a gym 🤔 🤣
10 Reply2.1K opinions shared on Dating topic. I absolutely would
Of course we’re talking about a woman who’s into the gym like I am
Not my gym bros
Some people think it’s cringe to have a couple’s workout.
I find it motivating10 Reply- 2.8K opinions shared on Dating topic.
7 moSure.
I would have gone out with someone I met through the gym.
Would you?
11 Reply- 7 mo
Most definitely. Fitness is important to me so I would date somebody I meet in such an environment.
2.3K opinions shared on Dating topic. I work out at home, but I'd very much like a girl into fitness and physical activities, but not the type that wears tights to the gym for attention.

@HighValue and man I can only guess that, if you thought women wearing 80s leggings was tight, the women of my 20s/30s nowadays right, man are they wearing tight stuff - and I don't even go gym, I just am minding my own business existing in life, and there are some women, some fit women out there, and they really are wearing tight + tight hugging clothing - I just cringe thinking sweat 😅 sweat building ; chaffing
- 7 mo
I mean at 2020, women were wearing tight clothes, when I was 25/26. Women in 2025 when I was 30/are 31, it's gotten even tighter - man, scrunchbum shorts - eye yikes

At this point I don’t think I’d be willing to date a girl that doesn’t workout or have some structure around fitness or being fit.
I wouldn’t need her to have some extraordinary fitness goals or looks.
just a healthy attitude around exercise.10 Replysure i am actually dying to have one, i had a fitness trainer he had me doing suggestive exercises, fortunately i noticed that in time

7 moNothing wrong with meeting someone who likes to take care of their health and body as long as you have as much else in common as you like too!
10 Reply 6K opinions shared on Dating topic. I'm not against though I'd have to be a woman who approached me first because I when I go to the gym it's strictly to work out.

7 moProbably not. My interactions with others at the gym are spotting/being spotted. Now when I am out running that might be different.

10 Reply Why not? I like those who have similar interests, especially in health.
20 ReplyOf course, we have to be compatible. We have to get along well and have a tacit understanding.
