I am talking to my friend whos American and his son is now in Philippines living with a girlfriend. He said he's son (32) so lazy to work even though he has a degree. He has 2 sons the other son makes $130k dollars even though he doesn't have degree while the other is lazy. He doesn't have a work and getting assistance from US government. So since Im Filipina too he showed his sons pic with his Pinay girlfriend I can sense selfishness on him like bad vibes. Her on the other hand is giving me weird vibes too like she's no angel. Maybe its me just being jealous because Im single and can't find a date but thats how I feel. Do you think she got lucky dating an American?

I'm moving to the Philippines next year and its a wonderful place to be if you have money. I can't imagine a western guy living there on less than $2000US or 125k pesos a month. I love the country but it is not a place I would live on a local income. I don't think she got lucky at all.

Maybe she thinks he's cute thats why she's still with him lol He has a degree his father said he doesn't know if he can work in Philippines or not. I told him maybe he's waiting for his inheritance from him. by the way his father is not rich. And will retire this November

He can't work in the Philippines on a tourist visa. He'll need a 13A marriage visa. He could probably teach English online for $10 an hour or some online work.

Lol but he doesn't. His dad said hea still umeployed by now. he's been living with her for 8 or 9 mos.

His father said they are both Christians but living on same roof. He said she's not his first Filipina girlfriend. he's into Asians. Thai and Filipina. He said his son has commitment issues too. I asked if he's getting free milk without buying the cow? He said maybe

I married a Filipina. She was born in squatters area and I know how sad life is. I want to move there to help. We are always collecting clothes and shoes to send over. We started a scholarship this year and are going to be putting 2 girls through university who are very smart but very poor.

I'm Canadian but you'd be surprised how many of us Canadian and Americans who are married to Filipinas plan on retiring in the Philippines. Every one of my wife's friends have either built a house there or are planning on it when they retire. There's no strangers there, everyone is a friend that you haven't met yet. And who doesn't love spending the evening eating a bucket of Jollibee, singing karaoke, and sharing a dozen bottles of Red Horse but only one glass with a bunch of friends you've just met. lol

Those are a nice bonus but it's mostly the beautiful nature and friendly, hospitable people. And it's easy to get by if you only speak English.

The whole point of Filipinos marrying Americans is to get out of the Philippines. She's probably holding on to the hope that he will eventually bring her back

How does him being American make her lucky? I mean she didn't immigrate to the U. S.. You said they moved there.

Because he's dating a white American man. He doesn't move there he is just there for 8 mos. He doesn't have a job. Filipinas thought they always get lucky datinh a white man because they think he has money. But he (32) doesn't have a job and he is living off from US government assistance.
