Sex is definitely one aspect. If they give some good head with some intense eye contact, AND they swallow or let you finish on their face? They're pretty much in your memory for good. At least that's how it is for me.

Then there's how they make you feel. The shared views, interests, laughing maniacally at the same stuff and giving each other knowing looks, the times they came to chill with your family, just laying with you and sharing all the deep thoughts...

Those moments don't just go away. They're memories that will stay with you for a lifetime. Unless they cheat on you or something. Then you actively and subconsciously try to rid yourself of any memory you have of them.

In my opinion, once I like someone's appearance, what matters is how well they understand me—or at least try to. That shows they aren't indifferent. Communication should be easy. They should be able to offer logical explanations to persuade me on issues where we don't see eye to eye.

"Je ne sais _quoi_" is not "Je ne sais pas", but I get the confusion.
"Je ne sais pas" is the basic "I don't know", as pointed out by loveslongnails.

Whereas "Un je ne sais _quoi_" is an idiomatic expression you'd use in a situation where you feel something subtle, good or bad, but you can't spot what it is. It could be the equivalent of "Something feels off and I don't know what it is" except that you can use this expression in a positive way as well

I have tried teaching them when to use "of", "on" , "by", "almost" , "most", always, and even "the" because they confuse those words. In Japanese these are the characters that confuse me are: ソ = so ; ン = n sound; ぬ = nu, ね = ne; め = me け= ke; は = wa/ha; き = ki; さ= sa. I have to look at those carefully before I can read them.

It's because our usages are different, you wouldn't say "I live in Sydney" in french because it would mean you live inside Sydney, as if Sydney was a container you're in lol. You would say I live at Sydney instead, which then would be incorrect in English...
