Guys: Would you ever take a girl on a pity date?

Because you know that she likes you and she asked you out on a date. What if she was a friend? If you would, why?

When I was a teen who thought more with his heart than the brain, yes I would have.

But luckily I realized that was a mistake in my teens itself.

NO cause that would be the worst mistake towards both her and me. it will save a lot of heartache (probably) later.

Even if she likes me and I don't. Pity is the worst and most degrading thing that you can show another person especially a friend. Pity comes out of the belief and feeling that the other person is incapable of taking care of self etc which by itself is a degrading thought. How can I call myself a friend to that person when I pity her. A friend is a person who is there when needed, gives his friend strength, motivation etc. By pitying, not only are you not providing the strength, motivation etc but also sending wrong signals and false commitments to her thus proving that you never were a friend cause in the end she'd be hurt.

No, that would just be cruel. If started to really fall for me, then how would I be able blow her off for future dates? It is best to just be honest with her and tell her I don't see her as more than a friend, or that she's like a little sister to me. Leading people on is wrong regardless of gender.

No I wouldn't do a pity date if she was a friend and wanted to date me and I didn't feel the same I would just tell her.I think it would hurt worse to go on a pity date than to just be honest with that person

Pity is not attractive. If a guy came up to you and said he hasn't dated in a long time and his last few dates were miserable failures, would you go out with him.

nope. I'd go out with her(if I were looking for a gf) to give her a chance, see if maybe there's a side to her I haven't seen yet.

Never been on a date but I would not do that because it would just be leading her on.

Once there was this girl that really liked me but I wasn't attracted to her much. Eventually called off a date and turns out she moved away to a different school. I felt bad...lol
