Ok so I have been going out with this amazing funny guy named Daniel for a little more than a week now. We've both liked each other for ages. He's my first boyfriend and Im his first girlfriend, He's shy about hugging and holding hands but his friends always find away to get us to do that kind of stuff.

recently his friends have been saying he want to kiss me bad! and when we went to play out with him and 4 other friends (2 of his and 1 of mine) we went in to town and we held hands in public. We went to the shops and he bought some sweets and offered me some. I declined because I didn't want to seem like a pig lol. When he had to go he hugged me good bye but his friends started to chant "kiss kiss kiss!!!" he was really nervous and so was I, he friends dragged him to the side and talked to him, then he came back after a bit more teasing and shoving he walked up to me and gave me a kiss.. I was nervous like REALLY nervous and under pressure I turned my head and he kissed my nose... when I turned my head back he seemed to be really embarrassed that I rejected him..

im ready for him to kiss me but now im afraid things will be weird between us, his friends keep saying "why did you reject him?" or tap there nose when they look at me. Do I have to kiss him first now? what do I do? please help thanks

My friends think I am crazy to be so patient with a shy guy. I just honestly think he is worth the wait because he has awesome qualities about him that I like.

We have hung out 4 times and made out 3 out of the 4 times. I said once when we were kissing that I really like kissing him then he got a huge smile on his face and said well good. He is not much of a phone person so it's hard to read into what he is thinking. We hung out for the first time at the end of January. We text a little bit each week but he is just very quiet. I asked him the last time we hung out if I annoy him when I text him. (I only text twice a week, I don't want to over do it plus I have a life as well.) He said he doesn't mind at all but it's just that he doesn't have much to talk about.

I've had numerous other guys ask me on dates/to hang out but I have turned them down. I just am into this guy and want to give him a fair chance. The shy guy approached me in the bar to start things off. (We knew each other in the past and hung out a few times years ago but he was too shy to make a move. So I did this time.)

He told his friends that he was talking to me and I have a hunch that he mentioned me to his Dad. This weekend I asked him to hang out but he said that this weekend was not going to work because he had family things to help with and listed a whole list of items he needs to do. He is super close with his family. I just don't know at what point he will start initiating more things. Or if that was a brush off. We had a really good date night the prior weekend.

I am certainly not desperate, I could go on other dates but am choosing not to right now. I really want him and only him but don't know what I should write it off as he is not interested. Please help. What do I do now?

Shy guys please give me hope here or something!

I hadn't heard from him since we broke up(one month ago).

Is it rude if I just ignore the text? And why send a Xmas text when we haven't talked in a month...?feels insulting such a superficial text

So you message a few times, and then meet up--how many times do you give the other person a shot before you just call it quits?

Related question how many dates until you see if there is something there--chemistry or relationship potential? I personally feel that the guys I've gone out with are more platonic, less romantic. I don't know, maybe I need to give it time though?

Also, how have you told them it wasn't working out?

I've noticed a lot of people (mainly guys) on here dislike tattoos. I'm curious, if you met a girl (or girls, you met a guy) that looked like this, and had a personality you really liked, would you date them? Or would you be turned off?

What's the longest amount of time you've ever been with someone before deciding to make your relationship official? For the purposes of this question, "official" will be classified as the point at which you decided to make a (non-matrimonial) commitment to the other person.

Typical examples include:

- Boyfriend/Girlfriend

- Telling friends, family acquaintances you're with someone

- "Going public"

You get the idea. Basically anything past the "getting to know them through casual dating" phase.

Note: "Official" as in whatever that means to you, telling your family, using formal titles, etc.

hey, I am 22 and my mother does not allow me to date...i have been working for about a year now. I date but behind my mothers back...i have been with my boyfriend for 3 years now. and I have met his parents. its a serious relationship. my brother is 27 and he is still not allowed to bring home a girlfriend. my father doesn't mind, its just my mother. she doesn't want us to go out and social and heng with friends either. my bother has develop a drinking prob due to this. she is very protective. what are your views on this? help please?

In case people don't know what shotgun dating is... it's where you're talking to tons of people on an online dating site and you meet with maybe one a day for a date... so you're dating multiple people at the same time...

By dating, I mean, casual dates... nothing serious yet. You're not calling each other bf/gf... you're just going out together.

What do you think about this? Is it wrong? Or is it kind of like being the bachelor or bachelorette on tv?

I met this guy 2 weeks ago. All three dates went very well. He was very romantic, attentive and told me he likes me. A true gentleman and didn't kiss till third date. Lots of kissing and making out on third date. He then went on a business trip last Friday (told me 4 days) and that he will email me while away. After he "came back" Tuesday I saw that he went back on to the online dating site. I think he also saw me online, then emailed me a nice, sweet, teasing email but didn't say when he will be back or when we will meet again. But did say hope to see me really soon.

I am the first girl he took out from online dating, so I am wondering if he wants to see what else is out there since he is old fashion and if anything the next date would mean we would take it to the next step (be it exclusivity or sex) and if he that felt it went too smoothly and/or too quickly.

I did email him back with a simple and cute email, but not demanding.

A guy I have been on and off with started texting me late at night. I'm usually asleep at that time, but I was awake and answered his message. I thought he was out with someone. He said he turned in early, then asked what I was doing up at that hour. I told him I was working. Why? He said he was "just curious."

Curious about what? Is he flirting with me again or was it just a friendly question?

I'm just curious about how people feel about this.

If you are dating someone, we'll say relatively seriously (you consider them to be your boyfriend/girlfriend) and they are not at the bar/club with you, is it OK to accept drinks from other people?

Is it OK to go out for drinks with someone of the opposite sex, one-on-one if you are dating someone else?

Why or why not?

As the question says... would you date a girl with a bigger nose than your own, and not mind it? Or if your nose is also bigger, would you date a girl like some of the pictures below?

By bigger, I'm not talking about anything that would make it in the Guinness World Records... just ones that are not the tiny little Hollywood button noses. Ones that are slightly wider and rounder, but straight.

Calling all drinkers (and those who've dated them)!

How important is alcohol consumption to you? Do you find it problematic if the person you date drinks less than you or not at all? Is this a deal breaker? Does it make you feel bad if you go on a date and drink while the other person voluntarily abstains?

I'm kinda new at dating life, he's the first REAL boyfriend I've had, so I just wanna make sure I'm not crazy or anything, I'm NOT a clingy girlfriend, if a guy needs space ill leave him alone, if he wants to talk then he can come to me I don't mind, I have MOUNTAINS of patience and tolerance, but there's just something I'm confused on;

we have been together for four months and things are pretty good in my opinion, we have been a little intimate, only got to exploring with hands and making out nothing further than that so I don't know if that will help in this question at all. he seems to absolutely love me but I don't know because I'm not him and I can't read his mind.

anyways, we live across the city from each other so we don't get to see each other but once every other week or so, for only a day which goes by WAY to fast.

for a long time we texted each other even if we didn't have anything else to talk about, just to talk to each other, and we always used to stay up at night while everyone else was asleep so we could talk to each other, and say goodmorning and goodnight to each other and I love yous.

in the past 2 weeks or so, we suddenly don't talk as much. I say goodmorning and then he says it too, then I leave a message that is open ended in hopes of maybe starting a convo, but then I go for HOURS at a time waiting for his reply, wondering if he is busy, or if he doesn't want to talk, or if he could possibly be starting to loose interest in me, but idk. I know he used to text during school (hes in college) and I am able to also, so I don't see why he can't text me unless its one of the reasons I speculate. now lately ill leave a message that he can reply to and I get a sort of blunt answer. he's not rude sounding at all but its not as enthusiastic as it used to be. like he used to reply as if we were talking to each other face to face but now its just meh. unless its something that's really motivating like sports or racing or something. :/

I miss not being able to talk to him as much, and I've asked if he is alright, and he says he is fine. but I also know guys say their fine when they arent, so I don't know what's going on over there.

ive thought about not talking to him for a few days so that it would be his turn to worry what I'm doing or if I care or whatever, BUT I'm not that lame ass girl who likes to play games and confuse the hell out of guys, so I wouldn't do that. especially since I don't want to argue or make him feel like I'm one of those other girls, we have never argued yet and I don't like being compared to anyone clingy or obsessed or bitchy or anything. I just worry if he is alright, I love him to death and I'm 99% sure he feels the same way.

also when we DO get to see each other he acts normal and we, so idk.

so now for your turn guys, why would a guy be texting like crazy and be all sweet and lovy dovy and then suddenly slow down and leave short answers less often? is that normal? should I really be worrying this much or is this something I have to get used to?

So an organization at my college is holding a date auction for charity, and I am one of the girls. I normally am a meticulous dresser, so I'm not worried about looking good. But I've never gone on a blind date before, and I usually have a good grasp of what type of girl my date is looking for before the date so I know what to wear.

So girls and boys, help me pick the dress you think would be appeal to the biggest audience:

1. White dress. Really short, cinches just above the waist, sweet-heart neckline, A-line, puffs out at the hips.

Ideas? My figure looks the most flattering in the black ones, but I'll be wearing black shoes... I've been told the white one gives the impression of high-maintenance. Is the coral too casual to make me stand out? ...And is the skin-tight one too suggestive?
