Could a school teacher be fired for having a relationship with a former student?

Let's say the female teacher is 35 years old and you are now 22 and she was your teacher when you were 12 years old. Would she be liable to get fired if the school knew she was dating a former student she used to teach?

I am from UK so laws in USA might be different but I don't know if our schools can fire teachers like that?

No I don’t think so, the only way she would get fired is if she tried pursing anything with someone when they were 12. Then they definitely would get fired!

No, they are in the clear. She can’t get in trouble for dating a former student because he isn’t a minor and is no longer her student.

No your an adult now ten years older, it might be a little or a lot creepy but not against laws or unethical
