Do any of you have an expensive vacuum cleaner? Do you often wonder just how good it actually works?

I spent a ton of money on a vacuum cleaner and find myself spending a huge amount of time trying to vacuum up a piece of lint or string that's stuck to the carpet! Finally, It'll get sucked up only to reappear a few seconds later. It has me wondering, just how good does my vacuum actually work? Anyone else get frustrated?

Just from past experience, Kirby is the best vacuum. Only one worth the money. They are expensive as hell, but you get your money back about 20 years down the way when you realize you have the same vacuum and it works almost as good as the day you bought it.

I'm thinking about investing in one. My sis in law spent over 600 on hers but loves it! I'd like to have one just for all the attachments they come with.

It's a good investment. I found mine at a thrift store for 25 USD. But I sold them for a year and know how expensive they are brand new.

My SO owns an expensive Dyson upright. The vacuum itself is a brilliant design and it totally user serviceable... except that she won't service it! The brush is easily removed by turning a screw with a coin, but she waits until the brush is virtually immobilized by string and fiber and the filters are clogged, then she gripes that the vacuum won't pick up anything.

I have a Samsung upright which is basically a rip off of the Dyson. It works fine.

Yea, I’ve got a Kirby. The best vacuum I’ve ever owned and it lasts forever. I’m no fool though. I got it refurbished off eBay got way less than new. Since I knew how reliable they are.
