How can I work abroad with a high school diploma and work experience?

Asking for my friend’s husband cuz his English isn’t good enough for this yet. He has 20 years of curtain and tile design experience with only a high school diploma. He is the best at his job and is married with two little kids. He wants to work abroad either in the US or any EU country but not sure where to start… he doesn’t have a college degree and is a Turkish citizen.. any advice on how he can work abroad?

Short answer: in order to obtain a work visa for the United States he must first find an employer who will petition the Department of State to consider him for the visa. The job offer must be specific, and not simply general employment. The employer must also explain that there is a shortage of American citizens to fill that particular job.

The last time I checked, there was no shortage of, or tremendous demand for, curtain and tile designers here in the USA. In any case, if the man's English isn't good enough to ask this question himself, he won't stand a chance in an American workplace.

I thought so too. But she told me to help her out and this is the best I can do. I’ve heard about O-1 visas and stuff but not sure how he’d even find an employer…like I told him to start a tiktok and put himself out there but I don't know thank you

Build his portfolio. Get some buisness contacts if possible. Send free samples of work to interested people. If he is competetive enough and offers value at a good price for his skills he might find a way.

Send samples to who? Like how does he even find an employer?

I make free sketches at times to get my works name up when someone likes it they actually pay to me

Sounds just about impossible unless he starts his own business. This is a question you might want to ask on website for expats in an individual country because the answers will vary.

He has his own store and stuff. They’ve been running that store for 37 years. She said she really wanted her husband to try to move there so she can come alone

It’s difficult unless airplane steward.-They we’re hiring recently. Teaching English requires 4 year degree as International schools demand quality English and Mandarin instruction
