Unless I have some strategic reason to get into debt, I like to avoid debt to minimize unnecessary risk.


I’d personally rather just rent until I can just buy the home I want with cash.


Just, one fat check, with no need to get a mortgage and give the bank the ability to take my home away if things ever go south.

You can rent the property or you can rent the money to buy the property. Both have advantages and disadvantages. If you own the property then you can make improvements and Chang’s and get the benefit of any appreciation. If you rent, then you can move at the end of the lease with no need to find a buyer.
