What is the best part time job for a student?

Anything that has a lot of down time.
When I was in college I did work study programs for about a year and a half. I would tutor kids in chemistry and also English. The job had a lot of down time between students. I would take that time to study and work on my course assignments. Also , I knew kids that worked in the library or in security - those jobs had a lot of down time sitting at a desk - great for reading and studying.
On the other hand , I worked at a Taco Bell for about two months when I was in college and it sucked balls. One, you are on your feet the entire shift and so by the time I was done and I got home I was dead tired yet I still had to study. Two, customers are assholes. I learned first hand how shitty people will treat you when you are working minimum wage.
Had a few good ones , probably the best was at the tennis courts , it was basically just me , ran my own race at a very young age , it was good money and really flexible.
I did pretty well for a while working on campus… you know, before covid hit and I lost that job. See if your school offers anything like that.
Try retail. There always seems to be jobs there.

retail is fine. a distribution ctr is higher paying but they might not be as flexible with hours as retail.
I am flexible as long as it is only 3 day a week and only every other weekend. Good luck, I suggest you research what it means to be flexible.
