For all the pot smokers out there that have jobs , Have you ever failed a drug test for work?

What do you do if you are a pot smoker and your job randomly gave you a drug test? Would you decline it or still proceed hoping you will pass?

I dont smoke and never will. But what pissed me off is when i interviewed for one job, the guy and i were told to pee in a cup. I hear him telling the lady “you know i forgot to take a water pill” and she goes “i got you” and i watch her dispose his “failed” test. She then tells me i failed my test for like THC or something. It had to be the pain meds i took or something because i dont do drugs. Bt it pissed me off that i just overheard her disposing of his. She still gave me the job tho with her crooked ass

I used to smoke weed back in the day. I often thought I'd be caught on a urinalysis, but never did for some reason. I may have been more off and on with smoking where it just wasn't always in my system. But one time, I thought I was going to pop because I had literally smoked within the last two days. I heard aspirin can mask certain quantities of weed in the system. So I popped a couple an hour before needing to pee. It came back negative. So it might work? But I'm not on the "up and up" with how well, what quantities it covers, etc. That said, it's safer, nowadays, for me not to smoke at all. I have a life and need to get around. And if I was getting high, even in a place where it might be legal, I'd be doing myself a disservice regardless.

My job (software developer) never required drug testing. Actually it was my colleagues who got me into trying marijuana in the US. If I had the type of job that required drug testing though, I would try to avoid marijuana completely. If I was already using it and the job required drug testing, I'd just skip/quit the job.

Never had a random drug test. When I got into sales they don't even drug test.
