Are you happy with your job?

no, most of my coworkers are a nightmare and the work is quite dull
however the benefits are reall good as well as my paycheck
to change it, there isn't really anything im so keen on doing, it would be hard to find another a job with such good benefits and paycheck and third, its a very specific job that requires very sepcifis kind of skill so i wouldn't have experience for something else and this type of job is rare... so im in it for the money and benefits... and hope of new better coworkers... things are getting better but slowly
Finance i work in the bank
I hate my current job. I just don't want to be there anymore, even though I'm good at it, everyone says I'm good at it (I can talk someone into buying just about anything we have on display), and I get along with most of the people I work with.
No. Work is being tortured. When you sign a work contract, you are agreeing to being tortured for a certain amount of time in exchange for a certain amount of money. That’s what work is. But you are forced to agree to being tortured, otherwise no home, no food. You are also wasting so many hours of your life each week for so many years. Missing out on life, just constant toil until you are dead.
Yes it pays well, the commute isn't bad, my boss is a good guy and the owner of the company is a big Trump supporter. I have been here almost two tmtears already Theconly thingvi don't like is I do not get a lot of time off

No, it provides financially but I feel overwhelmed most days having to balance being a single mom and work life. I hardly spend time to myself and feel like my days are flying by without me actually enjoying time doing what I love. Which is spending time with my family and working on myself physically.
I would’ve loved to have had the support of a partner to focus on my child and building a life yes at least for the first 5 years.
I’m only happy every Tuesday… when my money comes in.
My work has become slightly less physical, still incredibly stressful after gaining a new position… but honestly I find myself questioning if the money is even worth it
I'm an author. I can't really find a job because a- I'm picky, and b- I only have a tenth grade education, and c- I'm 14 years old.
I'm just trying to get to college. Actually, I'm going next spring, being homeschooled actually allows me to work at my own pace.
Thanks, I actually just got done, and made lunch for my brother. Now I've got to write. (I spend about 1- hours doing this.)
Definitely! I only have to work for 2 or 3 hours and get a decent salary. My first job was hellish though.
I had to work for 6 hours and was bullied.
If your source of happiness is from a job, I feel sorry for you.
@deus_ex_sisyphus. Yes, I never really tied my happiness to a career. it is pretty much a way to make money
I like my job. It's just the long hrs I don't care for.
Yes I LOVE my job! I'm one of the few people who can't wait for the weekend to end. That actually look forward to Monday.
Thats great am glad to hear!
What do you do?
Stock trader.
Interesting! Feel free to share more if you can
Like what? I'm no prodigy. I couldn't tell you anything you couldn't learn off the internet. I barely beat the market. But I continue to improve and learn and that's what motivates me.
Unless you truly want to put the work in. My best advice to you is to just invest in an index fund.
I make all kinds of blunders. Like I bought the largest gaining stock of 2023 in 2022 Nvidia. But my stupid ass sold it at a 52% return. It topped out at 239%.
Yeah my friend lives off his stocks and makes a lot from it he told me about that one.. sounds like you know a lot too lol
Well I wish him continued success then. I don't feel like I know a lot. The market is always teaching me what I don't know. Last year was good, but was it? I made a 21.85% return for the year. But the s&p had a 24% return. So did I do well? I would have done slightly better in an index fund.
I retired from my 9 to 5 job from the firm I worked with for 23 years. I've passively invested for 23 years. Through my retirement plan. So I've really only picked up active investing in the past couple years.
Sounds like you got more figured out than you realize. You're doing well trust me!
Did you turn on my webcam to make that meme and what happened to my hair?
Extremely happy indeed... Thank you.
Most part, I love what I do and my passion for it.
For the most part, I am happy.
Not really but pays a salary
Office work
Have done for past 23 years
Yeppers, otherwise I wouldn't still be doing it.
Beyond happy.
I’d rather not mention it here for confidentiality reasons.
Union Electrician, hell yeah!
@v_injector loves this meme.
Been doing it half my life so yeah
I'm a gold dealer
I started in scrap metal when I was 8 then just adapted after moving to where the scrap supply was scarce
In a way I suppose it did, it was my grandad and uncles ho started me on scrap and one of those uncles who mentioned real metal i. e. gold to me
Yeah if you set aside the drug habits, petty crimes oh and the gun
Yeah gold's worth more than silver
Yeah that's why I picked it, I have considered it before maybe I will
Ofc aim in love with my job
Yes I'm very happy with my job
Yes.
I am a "nurse", put it in quotes as this is the English word that fits best but isn't a good translation.
I am working in a house where people with disabilities get prepared to live on their own for the first time.
