+1 yI'm a lighting designer for theatre, non profit events, corporate events, and live music. I also design and construct scenery, design and calculate overhead stage rigging, design video wall and projection mapping, and last but not least I estimate and sell event production.
It's rewarding creative work and every day is different, but the hours can be long and it can be exhausting.

+1 yI work as a civilian for a major police service. Lots of computer work, assisting officers, adding information to the Canada wide computer system. Dealing with the public. And most importantly petting the police dogs.
It's a great job, 12 hour rotating shifts. Between annual leave, statutory holidays and time built up from the shifts.. I can get the equivalent of 15 weeks a year off.

I've done aged care once years ago. The smell of antiseptic or rubber gloves (not dish wash) always takes me back. Or whenever I visit a medical type facility/hospital setting ever since. Lol. It all comes flooding back π§ π§€
