If you have a degree in biomedical science and you apply for a job as a cleaner will you be more likely to get the job?

Some places will tell you that you're over qualified for the job. Other places won't give a shit what degree you have. I've seen jobs advertised for electrical estimators and they say the requirements are thst you to have a bachelor's degree no specifics it can be in history ot geography or natural science, no relationship to electrical as long as you have a degree. Which makes no sense at all. So who knows your guess is as good as mine.
