Not just yellow, but "national school bus glossy yellow". And as a former school bus driver, let me tell you how weird it is to find how many Europeans don't believe that school buses actually exist. All the weird aspects of our country and culture, and the point they doubt is... school buses.

Anyway, since that color of yellow is most easily recognized and discerned, even at a long distance, it's what they went with, and it makes sense.

They are only yellow in the US and Canada. School buses are other colors in other countries. I believe they are green in the UK, for example. And I've also seen blue buses for some private schools in the US.

I wouldn't change any colors. People are used to seeing school buses in a specific color, and it would just confuse them if they changed.

We need to put some colors back into our lives. I mean, aren't you tired of everyone dressed in black? Especially black T-shirts. Man, that is so dated!
So, I think the school busses should be painted candy apple red metallic of course! Yeah!
