1 yMy degree is in History, with a minor in Sociology, and I had a pretty good concentration in Economics as well.
Never did anything with it, haha. Worked as a bouncer at a few bars and was Head Of Security and a manager for the restaurant side of the business as well. Then I got into grocery retail sales, worked way too many hours for the better part of a decade.
And the last four or five years I’ve been taking care of my father since my mom died. It’s a full-time job but not a full-time job, you know? Full-time flexibility needed, but only part time hours. So doing that is my “job”, and I’m taking this rare adult life circumstance to learn to play hockey, and I’m approaching that like a job too, practicing almost everyday, gym, etc. LARPing as a pro athlete, lmao. And then I just manage the household and look after my dad’s needs. It’s Fantasy Land in a lot of ways, haha. I have money to live off of, so I’m just taking caring of family and recharging my batteries after burning out in my 30s.
I’ll have to crunch some numbers and assess some life circumstances, but I’m not sure I’m going to go back to having a regular job when my dad’s gone. I don’t think that’s for me, haha. I’m smart and capable enough for it, but it just makes me unhappy, so why do it any more than I need to? No problem with the effort side of it, it’s just the time required, and the demands of higher-ups. I just don’t have 40 hours a week to give, simple as that. And I’m not really built to answer to people, so that doesn’t really work for me either.
So I’ll always just be “here because I have to be” at any job, nothing that constitutes gainful employment is anything I have any enthusiasm for, or it’s a very unattainable job. “Oh, I should apply to coach the New England Patriots, that’d be cool.” Lmao…. and I’d even hate that, they keep AWFUL hours. And there’s no way I wouldn’t punch a snarky reporter😂
I think if/when I go back to working, I’ll just get something low wage that’s enough to cover most of what I need, and then just fill in with investment dividends and such. I think I’d just work at a weed dispensary or something. They always seem like they’re in a great mood, haha. Or maybe I could rent some space and open a liquor store. The best job I ever had was selling weed, lmao. Sit around and hang out, people drop by, and I make insane profits…. THAT’S the kind of effort/time-to-dollars ratio I need, haha. So any way that I can basically be a legal drug dealer…. shit, I’ll even sling coffee from a Dunkin’ Donuts if it’s not too much stress to me…that seems like a good plan.

I have a Bachelor of business degree , with an offshoot being a degree in Real Estate , a fully licensed Real estate agent ( Australia ) and I mainly worked in property related specialist subdivision sales , obviously I'm older than most , because I'm pretty dam good at reading balance sheets and looking at potential , I went full time in professional Investment in 2017 ( after building it up over some years ) , I use a Warren Buffet style approach , with most assets held in Australia , with a little overlap into USA..
Now , I've done quite well , but it should have been vastly better , but I love markets and I love listed opportunity , specialising in Property..
My only regret? I didn't start sooner in property related , REITs , mining , and listed gambling companies. When I first realised I could make a good living out of this? " Man , why did I not see it before " , such a mature age now.

You truly give Indians a bad name.
If I didn’t know anyone from the Indian culture… many here may not have met one… they would hate Indians based on how you “represent” them.
