Best and quickest way to generate a passive income?

I’ve been living at home trying to save and invest a bunch of money in these last few years, and it’s going well but I want to really kick my efforts up another level. It just seems like times continually get harder and while my situation is really not bad in the slightest, it isn’t ideal. I want to be able to go out on my own, find a partner, and kind of ride out into the sunset lol so to speak. Just lay the foundation to live comfortably and be able to do whatever I want, when I want.

That doesn’t necessarily mean regular trips around the world and whatever, but just the ability to maintain a good life, relatively stress-free and have financial freedom.

I did open a retirement account earlier this year and that’s going really well so far but I’m also doing some speculative/ETF investing, that I am personally managing (to mixed results). I’m also trying to work out a side gig, but that’s taken a bit of a backseat with mandatory RTO last year. About a year ago I was really feeling inspired to open up my own creative business and nowadays it’s just hard to find the drive (but I want to get back to that headspace)
