Okay, I have a degree in accounting and there is no calculus involved. It is mostly basic algebra. However there is a trend towards using AI to do accounting. I think high level math might be helpful with that. Besides , it will be a good experience for you. I took Calculus in college and at least i know a little bit about what it is.

Yes that’s only going to help. I mean check out a few college classes to see if Calc is required but I went up to calc 3. So if you take AP calc and it counts you could start in college at calc 2 and it frees you up to take other business classes. What colleges are you interested in attending?

that sounds smart. honestly, the easiest option’d be the colleges in my state, but i dont get in-state tuition. altho ones like vanderbilt’d be really cool, the one i’ll end up going is prob going to be auburn university😭 i wish they’d give me scholarship dude 🙏 thank you so much for your advice🫶

You are welcome and good luck. Tbh there are tons of scholarships out there if you do some research. Have you been to your highschool guidance counselor? If you have, use them as a resource and tell them you want to work with them to apply for scholarships; they likely will want to help you and may know of a few you can apply for

I’m sure you will and it even doesn’t hurt to email someone at auburn to see if they can help. Alumni organizations are huge at those schools and they want eager self starters to show they can go for scholarships because they know the students really want it and will not flame out. Glad you are meeting soon.. I remember senior year and how much anxiety with the college life ahead

It's a bit of overkill with Accounting- statistics are more useful there. With more quantitative finance, it would be useful (but you'd need Linear Algebra and Differential Equations too).

Calculus I and II. Calculus III is Multivariable Calculus. Calculus II is considered more difficult than III.
