What do you think is the most important SKILL to help you get through life?

I guess assertiveness / not being a pushover it really help in today worlds. I'm a bit of a pushover / hard time saying no and I noticed I definitely need to be more "assertive" in some situation.
I think as long as you're able to hold your grounds on matters it's easier to get job, to "sell yourself" as the best candidate, keep your job and not get abused by others. When you're single / alone with nobody to help I think it's the best skill to have (obviously it should only be used when needed).
Patience.

There are some really good responses here. But since you used the word "skill", I'm going to say social, community building or networking skills. It's different than a quality or characteristic like flexibility or consistency, which I also believe are important. But people skills are essential for nearly every aspect of life because of our interactions in daily life: family, friends, co-workers, clients, etc.
Honestly my ability to be able to fix almost anything has been the skill that has served me very well.
It has allowed me to help people in many ways, meet girls and as Red says on the Red Green show…. “If the women don’t find you handsome at least they should find you handy”.
Understanding others I would say... along with patience.
Once you have a great understanding of others, you have a certain power. And if you have patience, you know that it takes time to understand some people. Lol
Does common sense count as a skill?
Lol don't think so, but I accept this answer 😂
Common sense will only lead you to hell, just ask Voltaire. What is common sense isn't common for others. I have a 147 IQ to me things seem common but for general population it is hard to perceive
