Every generation thinks their struggles were the “real” ones.

Boomers did face challenges, but the world they grew up in was structurally different cheaper housing, stable jobs, lower cost of living.

That doesn’t invalidate what they went through, it just means the playing field changed.

Millennials deal with a different kind of difficulty higher costs, unstable job markets, and expectations that no longer match reality.

It’s not about who had it worse, it’s about acknowledging that times change, and so do the challenges.

Boomers have money because they worked physical jobs (trades) bypassing college. These are still high paying jobs that millennials shy away from, because they have degrees and would rather deliver pizzas than get dirty. There is a labor crisis in the near future, because the boomers are gonna retire but the millennials don't have the skill nor desire to replace them.
