One that crossed my mind is this: For a very long time, cavalry reigned supreme in warfare, why? I then asked, what did cavalry do? "Ride towards the infantry"? Ride towards the infantry and do what? "The King" answered the question by showing a French knight ride into an English man. This was a movie, so they obviously can't seriously ride into them, but it answered the question, they ride into them. Okay, so why does that work? A big, heavy horse knocks over a man because of what? Momentum, boom, code cracked, that's why cavalry worked: Momentum. The horses weighed 4, 5 times what the men weighed, running into them at high speed while they're still? There goes the first row, the second, the third, maybe the fourth row of infantry, knocked down and trampled. I can't say I'm a visionary, but the basic, core principles which are rarely retained, I just uncovered them and I am so fascinated. What's a random thought that crossed your mind?
