Stuck with no clear passion: how do I choose a major and career path?

They’re struggling to choose a university major because they don’t feel genuinely passionate about any option. Their parents originally wanted them to study medicine, and they actually tried Biology/medical studies for their first year, but realized they didn’t want to continue because they hated the long process, chemistry, pressure, and especially the amount of memorization. They also considered psychology because they like the idea of understanding people, but they’re worried about the memorization involved. Now their parents are pushing them toward Finance or Management because they see them as safer career choices, but they don’t really have an interest in Business either. Marketing is the only part of Business that feels somewhat acceptable to them, but their parents don’t really like the idea of Marketing, and they’re scared that if they choose something they actually prefer, they could struggle to find a job later. At the same time, they don’t want to choose Finance or Management just because they seem safer and end up hating their career. They honestly feel stuck between choosing something they might enjoy and choosing something that gives them better job security.
