How to Learn Spanish?

[Velora_03]

So, as I said, I'm currently at a C1 level in English. How long do you think it will take me to learn Spanish and could you recommend some resources?

Learning a new language is less about the language and more and how passionate and motivated you are to do it. In the end it's mostly about practice. Learn the basics and then try to use it as much as possible.

Like any Romance language. Read newspapers, watch series and talk to native speakers.

Given your C1 English, you already know grammar terms and language-learning strategies, which speeds things up.

If you study consistently (1–2 hours/day), reaching solid B2 Spanish can take 9–18 months, depending on discipline and exposure. Faster if you immerse.

Concrete path and resources:

- Foundation: “Aula Internacional” or “¿Español? ¡Por supuesto!” (textbooks + audio).
- Apps: Duolingo or Babbel for daily habit; Anki for spaced-repetition vocabulary.
- Listening: Dreaming Spanish (YouTube), Easy Spanish (street interviews).
- Speaking: italki or Preply tutors, language exchanges (Tandem, HelloTalk).

That's how a lot of people learn it. You can also join a Spanish speaking country's sever online and try to practice in game.
