It’s a “self-help” play on the golden rule. But it makes it more action oriented.

You can treat others how you want to be treated. But you need to give others what they want to get what you want.

Right?

I'm no fan of college students who look their noses down on blue-collar workers but some blue-collar workers aren't innocent of doing the same to the white-collar workers and college students in my personal experience.

Granted, college has become more of a joke these days with what's being taught and the type of degrees they have and trades/blue-collar workers are needed in the world but it doesn't really help the blue-collar workers to shit on people who decided to study in college to become a doctor or engineer.
