There really is no real reason cartoons have predicted the future that we know of right now. The universe is a vast place with things we just don't understand. Honestly more than likely these predictions are just pure coincidence. TV shows Movies & Cartoons are all just creations made by artists who more then likely have no idea of the future to come.

Artists make cartoons, but they don't decide which cartoons get picked up by a network and aired on TV. They submit a pilot episode and then if it gets picked up, they get little notes from producers, "we think you should do an episode about this," or "We want you to mention that in your next episode." Since the producers are the ones forking over the cash, the artists do what they're told, if they want to stay on television. And who are these producers? A lot of them are CIA assets, if not agents.
