Inspired by my last question:  Do you think love stories are conveyed better in literature or film?

A lot depends on the creative skill of the writer of the book or the team creating the movie.

A well crafted story can get deep in to your sub conscious and make it so vivid.

Some movies work really well but also can be better alone, with someone or even at cinema.

Movies to me need the right setting to pull it off.

Books are always a solitary thing.

Although both reading erotic story can be a lot of fun lol.

Why is it my favorite? He basically annoyed her for the better part of 12 years until she just gave up. That's true love: Wear down your target until they surrender. Happy Valentine's Day! 😉👍😂

I mean the actual bram stoker's version.

People when they watch the movies see the scary horror elements but it is an actual love story.
If you watch the Version with Gary Oldman it focuses more on that.

Titanic. And any other movie where romance isn't the focal point cuz everyone's gonna die anyway. Still, I've a recorder fit in my head with Joey Tribbiani's voice :  "Those two had only each other!"

“Rocky” is my favorite.
Poetry and artistic prose are the most natural secondhand love stories, i think. When well written, you can actually feel the love the writer is expressing. As opposed to reading someone trying to describe what being in love is like. It’s interesting, but not touching.
I luv movies, but in them are extra interpretations between even the best writing and the actual expression. Too many places the love can be lost in translation. But when it’s done well every step of the way, it rips my heart out every single time.

It depends, really, as I sometimes like when she choses something to watch, often a Rom-Com, but we cuddle close, and especially in winter!
We watched "Definitely, Maybe" (a past girlfriend, that also loved the cuddling movie night) and I actually cried, at the end. She was SO TOUCHED, and loved that, like I was somehow now "OK" and not like other guys, with no emotions?
