I mean seriously he's a completely different character than Superman, emphasized by the fact his universe is GONE. He knew his earth's Superman and only took up the mantle AFTER he died protecting earth.If anything I think Val Zod is more interesting than the boy scout because he would face legitimate problems earning humanity's trust (I mean his last name is Zod, he failed to save his world so people wouldn't have that blind faith they have in Kal-El, and he's not the nostalgic Superman everyone knows). So what's the issue?
Why do people get so angry about the idea of a Val Zod movie?
He's the son of Zod from the now dead Earth 2, same planet as Power Girl. He essentially takes the role of Superman after his earth's Superman gets "killed" in a fight against Darkseid. People call him a black Superman because he wears the house of EL symbol (the S on Superman's chest) and he's a kryptonian.
Really? Why not? He's an alternate reality kryptonian. That's not even a big deal in comics. He's not Superman, he's not a clone, he's a hero that superman inspired to be a better person.
