It wasn't Dune. I read the Dune books before the movie came out and I was very disappointed but then the concept was a bad one from the start. He should have made it a mini series. It was like watching a Reader's Digest condensed version with very stiff acting.

I think elephant man might have been his best work though not exactly entertaining.
