Some of them! My favorite lately is Dorohedoro on Netflix, because I loved the manga. It's really adult in like, plot and violence but it's not sexual or pointless. The characters are well written and the story is complex.

Also Mob Psycho 100! A teenager with godlike psychic powers, but he actively trust to be better in grades or work out so he doens t have to rely on his powers, because it's just one part of his life and not his entire personality so he doesn't think he's better than everyone else. a lot of complex story about having to repress his emotions because they'll trigger his powers and he doesn't want to accidentally hurt anybody. Great anime, characters, developments, and story. Even his boss who is a fake psychic who he helps out as a part timer, he really admires because he knows the boss is a fake but he tries hard to really help the people who come to him with their problems and is a genuinely great guy.


I hate anime that's super derivative though, like oh wow another pointless action anime with crap art and no plot. The main girls all love the MC but they barely know them. Or pointless drama from stupid shit that a five minute explanation could avoid.

Oh yeah! It helps expand the market when it's readily available for people who aren't super familiar with them. Also they're producing their own anime, and they do pretty well for some of them! Some not so much...

Uhh not quite. More like... A world of sorcerers who use their magic to experiment on humans in their city. The main character has a lizard head and no memory of who he used to be before so he's hunting sorcerers and trying to dispel the mystery of the man in his mouth. It's also very goofy but gory

Yes, but I find it hard to find new animes I'll be able to get into or even like.

Find more often that not I'm waiting for the next season, but not many ever get a second one.

Isekai, pretty much most shonen ones and slice of life ones.

I think as long as it has a strong storyline I don't really mind what genre it is.

Two of my all time favourites couldn't be any more different if they tried.

Parasyte and Yuki Yuna is a Hero. Two completey different genres but the story and plot are executed perfectly.

I started out with sub, but then I ended up watching a few dubs and there is one voice actor in loads that is really talented and I just love trying to spot him and other talented actors out. Don't get me wrong there are definitely a few dubs where the went with the wrong actor or voice for a character and it just sounds so wrong.

But I like the freedom with dubs of being able to focus more on the animation and show than on the subtitles

Yes, but also no, it depends on the art style.
I like the art style most anime uses, my fave series is dragonball/dbz/dbsuper/dbgt, but the art style in anime like jojo's bizzare adventure and reign the conquerer is super cringy.
