Anyone here watching the Arcane TV series from Riot Games?

It's the highest rated Netflix original show on IMDb. It debuted as the number one ranked Netflix show in 38 counties, even surpassing Squid Game. There's only three episodes out so far, and it's absolutely amazing.

12 years in the making, finally a anime and story for Jinx and Vi including just Piltover and zaun as a whole. And yup it's perfect.

Just wish they could actually make gameplay of LoL better. They don't really need to change that much just more Pve stuff which is daft they haven't ever focused on such things.
But LoR does and is by far the best thing LoL has ever done. Card game that you don't need to pay for cards? Also get rewards for Pve not just Pvp and now on top of that just added even more Pve to play with.

Meanwhile LoL be like well there is bot matches but they really reward you nor have a storymode anywhere. And LoL has been out 12 years... LoR a year.

I liked the style of the animation and mood of the series. Reminded me of the Dishonored games which is no bad thing.
Unfortunately, I didn't like many of the characters and found the daughters in particular difficult to watch. I don't find them believable or people I want to identify with.
However I did watch all the episodes so far so it's a bare pass from me.

Yeah, I love it! I just love seeing all the characters I’ve played or played against for years get their own show. The Jinx and VI sister relationship was a really good choice. I started the game around when VI came out. I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen with viktor.

It's been hinted at for years, I think Jinx's lore page mentioned an older sister, I also like the sly hint at a potential romance between Caitlyn and Vi, the show had one scene where Vi called Caitlyn hot, and I know it's a little out of context, but I feel like it was subtly hinting that there is more to their relationship.

Nah, LOL is such a scam, I'm much more of a Dota fan and I didn't even watch their crap anime.

A scam? In what way? This is a TV show, not the game.

Gotta buy the champions, buy the skins, buy the season pass, and buy whatever else Riot schemes up to make money.

Some of LOL's character's stories seem interesting... others seem silly and cartoony.

I mean it's free to play so yeah they need to make money somewhere. All of the champions can be obtained without paying any money, the rest is optional fluff that you don't need.

Weird... dota 2 is free to play too and I can try out all the characters without having to spend a penny. I did the math and you have to play many, many, many, games for just one 6300 character.
That, and league feels like it's generally from 2005.

It's a moba, you will play many many many games. I've amassed so much credit on LoL I can unlocks champs as they release and have done for years without spending any cash. League has been updated considerably over the years but sure.

That's nice and all for veteran players, but when you're a newbie you're basically shit on, especially when you're like me who wants to play characters to learn how they work. I tried league again not too long ago... still feels like an Age of Empires 3 mod.

I have played dota 2 but it's a different kind of game and I didn't enjoy it.

You have to start somewhere. You get free champs to select every week, which rotates to let you practice different ones before you decide who to play.

And I feel like you've either not played League, or you've not played AoE because they're not even remotely similar.

It is different because it's better.

Some early mobas were mods from RTS games. The game itself came out in what... 2009? Have they ever updated the engine? I know they've made it look a little prettier with the graphics... but it still plays like a relic.

I have no idea what they've done to the engine, I just know it plays better than dota. And yes graphically it looks great compared to a few years ago, so I can't fault that.

I'm through the first five episodes, I've enjoyed the animation style and the storytelling has been fairly good.

It is animated, but it is nothing like for example Japanese anime. The animation in Arcane is beautiful.
