"The comet is an allegory..." No, it's not actually. The comet was just a comet, and the film was just another B-grade disaster flick. I mean, and as someone below pointed out, if you were going to make a movie where the hidden message was that 'climate change' (whatever that is exactly) was a threat to mankind, you wouldn't cast one of THE worst "climate offenders" on the planet - Leonardo diCaprio. He has NO reason to preach to ANYONE about doing something about global warming/climate change/the-end-of-the-world-as-we-know-it.

It was honestly quite boring. It had some funny moments, but most of it wasn't realistic enough to be interesting. The whole premise comes from nasa giving a 99.8% accurate chance for something to happen. If it was a random kid giving you this data.. sure.. But the response that was 80% of the movie just wasn't relevant when it is NASA giving it to you, peer-reviewed and all.
Satire is fun when you can imagine it actually happening, not when you just give the most stupid response in every situation.
There was some good moments but not something I’d suggest a friend to watch cause I found it overall boring. I feel like some of the stuff they were mocking should have been delivered/directed different to be better
Is it worth me watching Netflix keeps recommending and I keep ignoring lol

Sucked. It was basically just a summary of those stupid Americans' stupid President from 2016-2021 when that White House riot happened.
Although Helen Mirren got naked in it. Helen Mirren naked is surprisingly fucking sexy. Everyone gonna hate on me for saying it but idgaf. That's the sexiest 70-year-old woman I've ever seen. Maybe it's the tramp stamp, I don't know.I liked it. It is an idiocracy in non distopian setting. It seems to me that in some figures you fish a lot from iron sky, like the president of the USA.
Beyond the tight vision of climate change that many believe represents the comet in the film, the film shows in a grotesque way how every rational vision is perceived by the mass.I feel like it was really poorly made, poor performances and script writing.
Not to mention, Leonardo DiCaprio, who flies around in a private jet, is a really poor choice of someone to star in a movie about climate change. Can't they find someone who at least acts like they believe what they proclaim? This is like Demotion Ranch Matt starring in a movie about banning guns to save the world."Dont Look up" seems to do well in terms of story and presentation, and I liked it however some exaggerations seems bit more then required. The later part where people were blindly following 'don't look up' campaign, when they can see what is clearly on the sky and they realizing it way later seems disappointing. The satire were perfect, and real.
All in all a decent one, and good for one time watch especially from the comic perspective.I mean, it pretty much sums of trump-tards in a very entertaining & satisfying way! I would imagine the low-intelligence of republicans were too focused on Jennifer Lawrence's B-grade tits to even grasp the real moral of this story.
Yeah although, it's a satire and slightly different from the real world. It's very real and thoughtful, some of it's actually true. But stupid people will never like it. I have recommended it to some top actual astrophysicists, and they seem to like it much. Professor Brian Green also published some comments on the film.
I know it's satire but it was too ridiculous , honestly It only felt real and relatable for like 2 minutes at the end and then again they ruined it with the stupid post credit scenes...
Its a comedy crested by leftists. I don't watch leftist media.
Watched it. I watched it because there were some serious actors in it. I found the ending disappointing.
It was okay. It did reflect very well, or very poorly depending on your point of view, today's society.
Sounds like just another Hollywood message movie. I'll probably watch it just for giggles.
I loved it! Its exactly what needs to be said right now.
