I’m a huge Charli XCX fan… as pop as she is, there’s a harder element to her music at the same time. She’s freaking awesome.

While she isn’t as far out in the open or popular as someone like Dua Lipa (there are some similarities to her, for sure), I think she’s by far the most “contemporary” pop artist of her stature, because she’s leaning more into forward-thinking electronic sounds and has really created her own lane, more on her own terms…
