Pie fight at a formal event?

You're attending a formal party. Everyone is dressed to the nines. The host of the party rolls out trollies full of chocolate and coconut cream pies. All of a sudden, pies start to fly. Will you join in on the fun? Or will you hide from the mayhem?

No, of course not. I would certainly not join in because of various reasons

1. Those pies are most probably made of edibles and I have been told not to play with food. I am sure that one could feed dozens of hungry and starving children and other people somewhere on the planet. It is a total waste of precious food that only people that are selfish would do. Ask a hungry child if he/she would waste food, even a crumb.

2. If I join this useless party, I may get hit with pies as well and here comes the second problem. How do you get back into a clean car without soiling it?

3. Why should I waste water and detergent to clean something that could have been prevented in the first place?

4. Finally, such a pie battle has the potential for harming yourself pretty seriously if you slip over the soiled and slippery floor. Why take a risk that can be avoided as well?
