Sooooo…like I am really really REALLY SHY in person, but I want to cosplay.
I don’t have a problem cosplaying (I cosplay from the comfort of my home), but the only problem is that they want me to PERFORM a skit and they will play it for everyone to see! 😭😭😭
It is a big convention.

Just let me show up with my outfit, act cute, and then get outtttt 😭

I love cosplay too but never did one cause I'm too shy for people asking to take a pictures of me, I can't for the life of me pose for a pictures I'm gonna look so awkward

@TommyMountainFigure It actually doesn't, when I take one step up I get burned and need to take 10 step back while being anxiety ridden and gettin insomnia bad cause every time i try something I don't feel comfortable with it end up badly.
I would have liked to do Tifa Lockheart cosplay but considering I'm so awkward and it's a sexy cosplay it's not going to look good and I'm know for making people uncomfortable around me since i can't for the life of me make a conversation. I just utter a words and that's it.

@alice55 That's really sad. I never considered the possibility you might suffer from anxiety. Can I offer you a story that might offer some help on how to deal with situations like that which prevent anxiety.
When I was 14, I was picked to take part in an athletics meet. My specialty was long distance but someone who was supposed to run the 400 metres was sick so they asked me to do it.. I said OK.. There were 2 other people in that race and they finished whilst I was still about 30 seconds back... The entire stadium were laughing at me but instead of letting fear or panic get to me, I waved, I did a moonwalk backwards past the line. AND I got the biggest ovation when I got my bronze medal...
See.. it;'s not the situation, but how you deal with it..

@TommyMountainFigure There's some stuff I can deal with nowadays (compared to before) but the cosplay things is another (I would be alone with my mother) normally I should have gone with my sister so it would be ok but with my mother she's going to comment about everything and judging all the time.

Any advice how to be more confident in those situation?

I'm loling because I have zero advice when mothers are concerned. My mother is the only person on the face of the planet who can sap my confidence.. She doesn't even mean to. I think all mothers can do it.

My mother being with me is actually the things I'm most worried about, if I was alone I could go out in cosplay (I mean I would never ever seen the people ever again) but with my mother I'm self conscious (especially since she don't like cosplay or video games or anything).

Go for it, use a mask if needed or makeup that puts on a mask so your harder to recognize. It will be a good experience for you.
