Who else is a Marvel / DC nerd. And who is your favorite character?

I have been a follower since I was a little boy, even though I became a female I have never lost my interest in comics. My favorite when i was boy was Captain Marvel now as a grown woman my faves are Dr. Strange, Captain America, Iron Man and Ant Man and of course Batman and Superman all yummy hunks!

Not so much now, but as a kid, you bet!! Specifically DC.

My favorite super hero was The Phantom Stranger. Nobody knew who he was, his origins or anything else. However, he had supernatural powers and fought demonic enemies. (He also joined the Justice League and in one issue brought Superman back to life after he had been killed by a demon.)

Very few probably remember him, but he was my all time favorite. I first read him in DC Super Stars and I was smitten. I then went out and picked up all 41 issues of his comic and all his appearances in the Justice League.

P. S. Green Lantern was my second favorite super hero.

Wow!! I wondered if anyone would remember him!! To me the most fascinating character in comics. I not only picked up all his JLA appearances, I went back and bought all 41 of his comics. Plus my favorite, his appearance in DC Super-stars presents issue #13, where he teamed up with Deadman.

They were at the top of my considerable comic book collection until I - not without regret - sold it to a comic book store when I was in my late 20s.

I have been following these characters since I was little. It has been pretty cool to see them on the big screen. I liked Captain America and the Legion of Super Heroes.

I used to like the extra large annuals that used to come out in the summer. Often there would be reprints from the 1940s. Captain America, Sub Mariner and the original Human Torch from the Golden Age would be featured.

My mother threw out all my comic books when I went to college. I had the first X-Men and First Daredevil. Also the issue of the Avengers where they found Captain America floating in an iceberg. The issue of the Flash when he met the Golden age Flash. I would be retired now.
