Here is one of my favorite quotes from Saint-Exupéry ""To make rain on men something that resembles Gregorian chant. To rediscover a life of the spirit even higher than the life of the intelligence, the only one that satisfies the man. "

True story:
This happened when I was in my 30s. My mother and neighbor and I were talking and the neighbor looked over at my mother, pointed to me and said: "What was he like when he was a baby?"
My mother's instant reply: "About like he is now."
This story I tell because, even as a kid, I tended to read a lot, but heavier stuff. No "Jack and Jill" for me.
However, oddly enough, I recall reading - as a child - "The Little Prince." Truth be told, I don't recall it vividly, but I do remember reading it all the same.
Tip of the hat to you though. You "dinged" my memory and I will be getting "The Little Prince" for my kids now. They thank you in advance.
Glad that this reminder was helpful lol. And thanks for sharing the anecdote. I hope your kids enjoy it.
I advise you however earth of the men of saint Exupéry, this here it is a book for adults. Here in France Saint-Exupéry it is considered with much respect.
Anyway I wish you and your family a good day. And I suppose that today is game day for your son, so wish him good luck from me 😊
One of the more thought inspiring "children's books" ever (profound meaning in it even for adults), written, by of all people, a combat pilot.
Yes, I read it when I was on 9th grade, it was mandatory. In my opinion it's a simple book with a beautiful story.

I didn’t read it but I have seen it on stage.
I liked it at the time, but that was 2002. I don’t remember much anymore but the lamplighter who kept lighting and dimming his lamp because the rotation of the planet he was on was so quick. What a strange thing to remember all these years later.
I have, but only in my childhood.
Yes. I love that book.
I saw a play at school.
